Prospect of the Day: OF Brett Phillips, Biloxi
Phillips came to the Brewers’ organization with ample hype surrounding him; however, he’s lacked that true “arrival” moment that catches everyone’s attention. That changed on Wednesday evening, as he went 4-for-4 and was just a home run shy of hitting for the cycle. He even drew a walk and raised his batting average to .300. His performance even overshadowed Jorge Lopez’s brilliant outing on the mound, as the right-hander threw eight scoreless innings and won his 11th game of the 2015 campaign.
For more information and a deeper look at Phillips’ minor-league journey, I encourage you to read this article by our own Colin Anderle.
Great night on the farm. How much has Roache helped his status with bouncing back at AA over the last few weeks?
