Prospect of the Day: LHP Josh Hader, Biloxi
Over his last four outings, the left-hander has only surrendered seven earned runs in 25.0 innings, striking out 31 batters. He can be overpowering from the left side, running his fastball to 97-98 mph on occasion. The question is whether his slight build and his high-effort delivery can handle 200+ innings season after season — something that is far from a guarantee — but his floor seems to be an impact back-end reliever. And as we’ve seen in the majors over the last few years, that’s nothing to sneeze at anymore.
Expect much more information on Josh Hader at BP Milwaukee this week.
