Prospect of the Day:  1B Steven Karkenny, Helena

Karkenny could be one of the many NAIA first basemen who rake in the lower levels of the minors (think Sean Halton). The Brewers drafted him in the 19th round of the 2015 draft, after he hit .350 with 11 homers at The Master’s College, which is located in Santa Clarita, California. The 22-year-old also won a couple Gold Glove awards in his conference for his defensive prowess at first base in the outfield [thanks to the great @Mass_Haas for the catch]. On Tuesday, though, he put together his best pro performance thus far, ending the day a mere triple shy of the cycle.
